A good use of Toile Fabric
Two of my favorite things: Dolls and Tattooing (go figure) together:
Mimi Kirchner's Tattoo Man Doll on Etsy

I'd love to spend over $100 on a doll, but alas, I'm not at that level of monetary disregard.
Also, I make dolls myself that are lying around the studio getting their poor arms and legs broken off, so I can't buy someone else's doll. It's cool though. Brings me back to the fact that my Barbies I had when I was a girl (actually, I was banned from having real Barbies by my parents and had mostly Mexican-made Barbie knock-offs from the flea market. I was given one actual brand-name Barbie, who was much coveted but somehow also feared because of her perfection and beauty) had many many tattoos that I drew on with a superfine Sharpie. If I had those Barbies now in my current profession I would display them in the shop for sure. That would really prove that I am MADE for this wacky tattoo career that must make my relatives and parents somewhat uncomfortable!

I never had a Barbie. I mostly played with Fisher Price toys (we had the house, the barn, the castle, and the safari) and stuffed toys that my mom made, including stuffed dolls with dress-up clothes. However, I did have a Baby Tender Love, which I liked but also found a bit creepy. I drew on it, but only to trace with a ballpoint the folds around its fat little hands and fat little feet. Then I tried to claim that the drawn-on doll was my sister's, while mine was the doll that had not been drawn on.
I would love to see your tattooed Barbies.
